NOTICE OF HARNEY COUNTY BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING
Public meetings of the Budget Committee of Harney County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 are underway.
Budget Meeting Schedule:
- April 14th, 2026 – 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Harney County Courthouse, downstairs meeting room. Budget Officer will present the Proposed Budget and deliver the Budget Message. There will also be an opportunity for public comment. The budget review process will then begin.
- April 29th , 2026 – 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Harney County Courthouse, downstairs meeting rom. Budget review continued.
- April 30th , 2026 – 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Harney County Courthouse, downstairs meeting room. Budget review continued.
- May 1st, 2026 – 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at Harney County courthouse, downstairs meeting room. This meeting is scheduled in case an additional day is needed.
Harney County Budget Committee Public Meeting Notice
Per ORS 294.426, a public meeting of the budget committee of Harney County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, will be held in the downstairs conference room at the Harney County Courthouse, located at 450 N. Buena Vista, Burns, Oregon. The initial meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, and is slated from 9 a.m. unl 4 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting will be to receive the budget message and proposed budget document. A copy of the proposed budget document may be inspected on April 8th after the meeting in the County Clerk’s office. Please check the county’s website for more information, including a digital copy of the proposed budget (harneycountyor.gov/Harney-county-budget-committee/).
Subsequent budget committee meetings will be held April 29th and April 30th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. All budget meetings are open to the public. The public will have the opportunity to provide comments and ask questions during the April 8th budget meeting. The public is enthusiastically encouraged to attend.
A copy of the Proposed Budget will be available at the Clerk’s Office for public review.
