Harney County Library Advisory Board
As advocates for the library, the responsibilities of the Advisory Board are as follows:
- Propose rules and policies for the governance of the library for approval to the County Court.
- Prepare and submit an annual budget request to the Harney County Budget Board.
- Provide community input and advice to the Librarian regarding operation of the library.
The Advisory Board meets in the library the last Tuesday of the month at 4:30 pm. The public is invited and encouraged to attend these meetings.
The Board is composed of seven members appointed by the County Court to a four-year term with a limit of two consecutive terms. Commissioner Patty Dorroh is the County Court Liaison to the Library Advisory Board. Current Board members:
