The OSU Extension Service Internship Program provides a meaningful service learning experience in one of OSU Extension’s 36 county locations.

Participating 2023 counties: Baker, Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Coos, Curry, Douglas, Gilliam, Harney, Hood River, Jackson/SOREC, Josephine, Klamath, Lake, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Malheur, Marion, Morrow, Polk, Tillamook, Umatilla, Union, Warm Springs, Wasco, Washington, and Yamhill. We have a campus based Extension Communications internship too! Bi lingual skills are a plus!

Purpose of Position

Interns will benefit from this unique internship environment and will grow from the mentoring offered by the Extension staff and from what they learn from the communities they serve. Students from any school are eligible.

Essential Job Functions

Extension Student Interns Will:

• have a unique, community based learning opportunity.
• learn about the Extension Service and our land grant mission.
• have the opportunity to be a valued team member and contribute to programming by sharing their new perspectives and diverse ideas and energy.
• learn while they co create impactful solutions that will be delivered locally and directly to beneficiaries.
