Juvenile Department
Programming through the Harney County Juvenile Department includes:
- JCP School Laison Program
- Girls Circle
- Theft Talk Intervention
- TruThought Cognitive Restructuring
- Teen Court
What happens after I receive a citation?
- The citation goes from the Police to District Attorney’s Office
- District Attorney screens case and determines charging decision
- If pursuing the case, referral comes to the Juvenile Department
- Letter will be sent to the youth with a date and time to appear at the Juvenile Department
- It is helpful to download the Intake Packet and bring it with you filled out
What happens if I am on Probation and I get a new citation?
- Report immediately to your Probation Officer
