Harney County Budget Committee Meeting

Per ORS 294.426, a public meeting of the budget committee of Harney County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, will be held in the downstairs conference room at the Harney County Courthouse, located at 450 N. Buena Vista, Burns, Oregon. The initial meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 14, 2025, and is slated to occur from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting will be to receive the budget message and proposed budget document. A copy of the proposed budget document may be inspected on April 14th after the meeting in the County Clerk’s office. Please check the county’s website for more information, including a digital copy of the proposed budget (harneycountyor.gov/Harney-county-budget-committee/).

Subsequent budget committee meetings will be held April 29th and April 30th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. An additional meeting if needed will be set for May 1st at 9 a.m.

All budget meetings are open to the public. The public will have the opportunity to provide comments and ask questions during the April 14th budget meeting. The public is enthusiastically encouraged to attend.
