Library Advisory Board

  • Open position: 1
  • Term duration: 4 years
  • Meetings: Last Tuesday of each month at 4:30 PM
  • Role: Propose rules and policies to the Harney County Court, prepare and submit a budget to the Budget Board, and provide community input to the librarian.

Wolf Committee

  • Open positions: 3
  • Term: 4 years
  • Meetings: As needed, open to the public
  • Role: Assist in discussing non-lethal deterrent methods related to wolf depredation and make recommendations to the Harney County Court. Members may apply for grant compensation funds with ODA (ORS 690).
  • Specialties needed:
    • Livestock producers
    • Local business owners

Fair Board

  • Open Positions: 2

Elected Officials Compensation Board

  • Open positions: 5
  • Term: Yearly
  • Meetings: As needed and determined by the board
  • Role: Research, determine, and recommend the salaries of the elected officials to the budget board. Ideal candidates should possess payroll, compensation, and business experience.
